Someday is Not a Day of the Week.

When I first saw this book circulating through some of the oily groups I’m in, I put it on my wish list in my planner.

Last week in one of my online Target orders I saw it was on sale with a Jen Sincero book I’d been wanting. With the word SALE beside it, I put them in my cart and went on my way (y’all know I’m a sucker for a good sale😂)

When I came home to find that order on my porch I couldn’t wait to get started. You guys, I have hardly been able to put this thing down🔥

I’ve always said I’ve wanted to make reading everyday a priority. I always used that S word too that I’ve grown to cringe every time I or someone else says it.

You know that SOMEDAY word…🤢 the problem with someday is that sometimes it never comes. Last night I made this a priority and started that 30 minutes of reading minimum and I will continue this morning. Not as a chore, but because I promised myself to do so. To use that time to learn, grow and explore without any interruptions, to do lists, distractions etc.

This isn’t the first facet of my life I’ve used that word in. But one thing at a time over the past year and 8 months or more I’ve been replacing someday with, I’ll do it TODAY. Like a pendulum, I have gone back and forth. But I know there’s been growth, in different areas of my life. It’s not always been what I thought/what I thought I needed but it has been. Growth is hard sometimes. Not that physical pain from lifting weights too long at the gym, it’s mental and emotional at times. It’s pushing yourself when you already said… but I’m not in my comfort zone anymore. It’s trying new things, not just the things we’ve programmed ourselves to know we like to do. It’s about self awareness and growing into the person we are. We always talk about our potential, how about we start really trying to dig deep and explore what it takes to actually get there.
