There’s a great deal of words that come to mind as to what I want 2019 to be- honestly just as I want every day to be. That’s why I haven’t done resolutions in as far back as I can remember. Every day is a gift. Not only the new year at hand.
I digress but the past two years it had been INTENTIONAL & the past 4 before that it had been HUSTLE.
This year I chose the word DECLUTTER.
DECLUTTER the mind of anything that stands between me & inner peace, cognitive awareness, my goals/plans for the future & my spiritual life through Christ.
DECLUTTER the friendships and relationships that I have in my life- some of which I need to improve as far as staying in touch (we all get busy that’s not an excuse)- others I need to distance myself from & no longer associate with.
DECLUTTER my body from anything that’s not good and doesn’t nourish it.
DECLUTTER our home space of anything not functional for our daily lives- after reading Marie Kondo’s Art of Tidying Up book fall of 2017 & watching a documentary on minimalism on Netflix- we began to purge all the excess. Changed the way I thought about shopping & consumerism as a whole.
DECLUTTER my life of all the excess that doesn’t add value or takes away time/energy from my day to day life.
These are just a few of the reasons I chose the word DECLUTTER.
What word have you chosen to be your word of 2019 and why?!
